Black Keys come into the light (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)

After three critically acclaimed albums, Ohio blues-punk duo the Black Keys finally jumped to a bigger record company this year. Their new CD, “Magic Potion,” came out on the Warner Bros. subsidiary Nonesuch. It’s a pretty standard story, for sure, except for what happened next. “Yeah, we still did everything ourselves at my place,” said drummer Patrick Carney. “DIY” to the Black Keys means DIB:
