Photos of some of my old hardcore punk flyers: I started going to DIY hardcore punk shows in Philadelphia in 1987 when I was 16 years old. By my third show, Government Issue at the infamous Club Pizazz, Bull (then aged 13) was right there with me. Two years later, in 1989, we were putting on shows in NJ as Orgasmic Productions and later in Philly as The Cabbage Collective (both groups included Chris Fry and Sean Gustilo).

While back in NJ on my old room for X-mas I decided to photograph a few of the flyers still on my walls for shows I went to around the country. The flyers may look distorted, but that’s because they are affixed to my walls or ceilings and could probably never be removed thanks to their age. I’ve been involved in "the scene" for just about 20 years now, so it may not just be the flyers that are falling apart. I jest…sort of.

There are two flyers from back in the day. On the left (partially obscured by a plastic monster) is Artless (featuring Mykel Board), Dysrhythmia, Invid and the More Fiends at J.C. Dobbs in Philadelphia in December, 1992. On the right is Screeching Weasel and The Queers with Wwax at J.C. Dobbs on March 20, 1993.
