Jam on The Brakes (The Daily Free Press)
Bands like The Strokes and The Vines exude an in-your-face punk-rock attitude, but you won’t see any hint of this rebelliousness in The Brakes. Fresh out of Philadelphia, the band’s music explores styles from Midwestern jam bands to Memphis soul. BU students got the chance to experience the vibrant fivesome up-close at BU Central on Friday night.
