New York Dolls dress for success at First Ave (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)
One of the most questionable rock reunions of all time, the New York Dolls left only one query hanging after their First Avenue performance Tuesday night: When’s the next tour? The reborn glam/trash/punk band came to town whittled down to only two of five members from its mid-’70s heyday, singer David Johansen (a k a Buster Poindexter) and guitarist Sylvain Sylvain.
